About

the Living in Herban Paradise blog by Paradise City Herbal

My husband and I grow herbs, veggies, flowers and mushrooms on our .12 acre lot just 2/3 mile from the center of a bustling New England college town known for its vibrant music and arts scene. A student of herbalism, I use the herbs I grow to make bodycare and soaps, as well as for food and medicine.

Here I talk about working to transition the garden into a thriving micro-farm, my passion for organics & natural bodycare, D.I.Y. herbal crafting, and how my personal and professional pursuits have merged.

It's Peach Season! Time to soap!

It's Peach Season! Time to soap!

fresh peaches

Peach season is here! And I bet you won't be surprised to hear I wear peaches as much as eat them.

Peaches are nourishing, moisturizing, and toning for all skin types. Mash a fresh peach into pulp to use as a face mask.

I'm lucky enough to have a little peach tree in my herban garden, but this rainy Summer has slowed its fruit. We're still waiting!

So I'm making a batch of my seasonal Fresh Peach soap today with peaches from a local organic farm. It's gonna be a long 4 weeks waiting for it to be ready!
